The “Egerland March” of Wendelin Kopetzky opened the Jubilee celebration “Püchner 125” with international guests. Vinzenz Püchner once collected these Egerland Folksongs for his Kapellmeister Kopetzki in 1890. It became a kind of “Liberty March” for the Sudeten Germans between the World Wars and is even part of the Püchner history. It was fun to hear the March in Shi Li’s great arrangement. Enjoy!
Warm thanks to Shi Li, Gerald Stütz, percussion, Wolfgang and Zena Becker, clarinet, the bassoonists Marc Engelhardt, Tianwei yuan, Magnus Nilsson, the oboists José Antonio Masmano and Jürgen Stork and the flutists Mengran Wu and Elisabeth Nilsson, Sophie Dervaux, contrabassoon.
